General Information

Fabric: All works are painted on either 100% Silk Satin or Crepe de chine. When there is backing, 100% off-white or black Silk Noil (raw silk), or Habotai silk are used.

-Sizes are approximate.

-Colors shown are to be taken as approximate as they will show up differently on-line and vary somewhat from piece to piece.

-Variations: Since every painting is original, there will be slight differences with each piece. Variations occur naturally in the weave of the silk and these are not to be considered flaws.

-Customizing: Many pieces offer a choice in line color, background color, and wording for the same price as the pictured work. Most designs shown can be adapted to hangings, scarves, bags, pillows, or ceremonial pieces. See the Customizing page for details.

-Cleaning & Care: All scarves may be hand washed in cool water with a mild liquid soap, towel rolled to remove excess water, and dry ironed while damp with a cover cloth. Do not let wet silks lay crumbled in a heap. Artworks that have cording, fringe or tassels must be dry cleaned only. Silks that are sewn with prewashed Silk Noil or Habotai may be hand washed and ironed, or dry cleaned; if the Silk Noil is not prewashed, dry clean only. Wall hangings and pillows should not be placed in an area that receives direct sunlight. Silks are best stored in a place where there is circulation of air, i.e. drawers and closets, but not in closed plastic bags.

-Delivery Time: In general, expect 4-6 weeks for a custom order, and 5 days to 2 weeks to receive a work that is in the current inventory. In some cases "rush orders" may be possible.
